December is almost here and, while we love that winter season, we are already missing our favorite month. Here are 12 reasons why we will miss November and wish that it was a little longer. We know you will agree that November is the best month ever. (Sorry December.)
Pumpkins
Despite a literal season being dedicated to them, pumpkins are heavily underrated. So when we say November is the best because these orange plumpers finally outgrow their patch, you better believe us.
Not only is November a great season for pumpkins but we also get to make all our favorite pumpkin foods.
Speaking of which, have you tried these amazing pumpkin blondies? And if you ever crave something delicious, whip up these pumpkin spiced donuts.
Lovely weather
Oh, to finally wear the plethora of warm coats that we’d been hanging in the closet since summer. Yeah, it’s the perfect weather to grab a cup of coffee (or pumpkin latte), stroll the street and just enjoy the world at its most blissful.
Perhaps it’s the delightfully cool air; perhaps it’s the soundless wind. But November truly has the best weather.
Crisp mornings
Speaking of weather, how would you like to take a walk when golden leaves display morning dew, and the sun gives you a wondrous combination of pink, purple, and orange hues, right as it’s rising?
Sounds magical, right? Well, that’s the power of November, and if you think you’re getting crisper mornings in any other month, you’re wrong.
Seasonal shoes make a comeback
We all have a shameful past (don’t we?)… but we are not afraid to repeat it yearly.
What we are talking about is Uggs, that one shoe design that’s been ingrained in the hearts and minds of millennials. And while we might be shamed for wearing them any other time, November is when many of us can fully embrace wearing them proudly.
Plus, uggs aren’t the only ones with a comeback. Platform and other style boots are back in fashion too!
Thanksgiving
November means that Thanksgiving dinner! This holiday is every foodies dream! From the perfect Thanksgiving turkey to all the side dishes we can't resist, everyone loves this ultimate food holiday. We wait all year for that last Thursday in November! We can finally eat all we want with no guilt at all. We are going to certainly miss it!
Seasonal drinks
Fall-favorite fruits and vegetables are winding down by Novmeber, and while it means a lot of pumpkin pies and apple cobblers, it’s also the time when those beverages are back in style.
We are not just talking about the pumpkin-spiced lattes and macchiatos that Starbucks serves out yearly. We also mean the seasonal cocktails and mocktails you’ll find in the bars.
We love all those pumpkin drinks and will probably continue drinking them through December. Sh! Don't tell!
Football
Um, does anyone remember the NFL? Because we do.
If you’re not a football fan, you might want to take a look at the celebrities that begin rehearsing for NFL shows and concerts, giving you a glimpse into the future performances where they’ll belt out your favorite lyrics at the Super Bowl. November is definitely full football season and we are here for it! Thank goodness football keeps on going through the winter! Let the excitement continue!
Warm desserts
Desserts don’t have a specific season, but there’s something so soothing and delightful about eating a warm, toasty dessert in November.
October is still a bit too hot to try some desserts, and by December, you’ve already moved on from the initial excitement of welcoming fall. So, November is the perfect month to turn on the stove and make the perfect poached pear.
Cheaper holidays
So for those who save up on vacation days just so they can take a breather during a stressful time, November not only brings a lesser crowd, it also tackles the dramatic price hikes. By December, prices are back up! We will seriously miss those cheap November vacations!
Dark, cozy nights
We love summers, but there’s really not much fun to do in the hot weather. Even nights can get bland.
And the wintry months, like December and January, are a bit too cold to enjoy long walks, which means there’s a very specific window to actually do things without getting tired of the weather. And November manages to hit the nail with that.
Not only is November the perfect time to take a romantic stroll, but it’s also the best month for night owls. November manages to create the perfect balance with nights that are dark, cozy, and comfy but just the right duration.
Sunsets
November seriously has the best sunsets. The gorgeous fall leaves with the pretty sun shining through makes for the perfect golden hour. In December, it is just too cold to watch the sunset. Oh November, we just love your beautiful sunsets and can't wait for them to come back next year.
