We all love a quick fast-food fix now and then, but let’s be honest—sometimes it’s not as perfect as we hope. Even the most popular chains get their fair share of customer complaints, and some of them are pretty hard to ignore. From missing orders to cold fries and everything in between, people aren’t shy about voicing their frustrations. Some complaints are completely valid, while others are just plain over-the-top. Either way, it’s a reminder that not every fast-food run ends with a happy meal.

Taco Bell

Taco Bell is one of the most popular and recognizable Mexican-inspired fast-food chains in the country. While it has plenty of devoted fans, some customers feel there’s room for improvement. Common feedback points to the prices, portion sizes, and the simplicity of some menu items. Still, many people keep coming back for the bold flavors and creative offerings that make Taco Bell a longtime favorite.
Panda Express

If you are looking for quick, Asian-inspired food, Panda Express is a popular stop for many people. While the chain is known for its bold flavors and wide variety of dishes, some menu items can be a bit on the heavier side. Favorites like the Beijing Beef are delicious but also a little indulgent, with higher fat content than you might expect. Still, for those craving a fast and flavorful meal, Panda Express remains a go-to choice.
Dominos

This fast-food pizza chain is one of the worst places to go for your favorite Italian dish. In fact, a study showed that 65% of reviewers gave this fast-food chain only one star. The biggest complaint was delivery delays and sometimes not even getting the pizza delivered at all! Domino’s restaurants are typically clean, but that doesn’t make up for super slow delivery.
Pizza Hut

Pizza Hut is another low-ranking pizza chain. It scores very low on most consumer food lists year after year. One study had 66% of reviewers giving the restaurant just one star. Save your money and get your pizza somewhere else!
McDonald's

While McDonald’s may be one of the largest fast-food chains in the world, that doesn’t make it good. In fact, it is one of the lowest-ranked restaurants when it comes to taste and quality.
The burgers are known to be paper thin but have super high prices. The McRib and Filet-O-Fish also received similarly bad reviews. One user even said the company had "Lost its mind".
Burger King

This is another burger giant that you should drive right past while on your quest for good food. With over 13,000 restaurants, you’d think Burger King would taste a little better than it does. The company has had many questionable issues over the years, including accidentally serving horse meat in 2013. No, thank you!
KFC

Fried chicken is the name of the game at KFC, but they haven’t quite gotten the best reviews over the years. People find this fast food chain's staff confused, uncaring, and lacking in hygiene. There are many nicer places to get better-quality fried chicken that you can try!
Sbarro

You may turn to Sbarro when you want a New York-style pizza, but you should really look somewhere else. Sbarro ranked 65 out of 100 for freshness and overall value, which is a super-low score.
On top of that, the company has filed for bankruptcy, so they are having business issues in addition to flavor issues. Not a good combination!
Little Caesars

Little Caesars claims to have high-quality ingredients and very fresh food, but this advertising has proved to be false. The pizza chain often uses very cheap cheese just to cut costs—cheese is one of the main things on a pizza! The restaurant struggles to serve good meals, which may be why it is closing shops one by one.
Arby's

Arby's is known for its roast beef sandwiches. However, most people find the sandwiches to be of poor quality and made with "mystery meat." On top of that, service is notoriously slow and unfriendly. It doesn't sound like a recipe for success!
Chick-Fil-A

Many people love Chick-fil-A, but the fast-food chain may not be as good as it seems. Our biggest pet peeve is that the restaurants are always closed on Sundays. We know that everyone needs a day off, but it can be hard to support this restaurant when it isn't open on one of the busiest fast-food days. It's just annoying.
Sonic

The appeal of Sonic is the curbside delivery that the restaurant is famous for. However, that service often comes with a long wait. Anyone who has been to a Sonic knows that the service is anything but quick. Be prepared to wait quite a long time and also get ready for some cold food, something lots of Reddit users complain about. Just another thing Sonic is known for!
Panera Bread

Panera Bread used to be a very classy fast-food joint. With gorgeous pastries and freshly baked foods, it was one of the best restaurants out there. However, Panera's quality has been going down as rapidly as its prices are going up.
We blame the chain's rapid expansion on the failing quality. But, no matter the reason, you may want to stay away from Panera for a while.
Quiznos

Many people think of Quizno's as being a place to grab a healthy sandwich. However, the meat alternatives that the sandwich shop offers are actually pretty bad for you. They are extremely high in sodium and loaded with calories. You may think you are ordering something nutritious, but you are really ordering pure salt on a high-calorie bun. Don't let all those nice Quizno's ads fool you!
Chipotle

According to a survey, Chipotle is commonly a target for complaints, with about 63% of reviewers giving them just one star. Slow service is the biggest issue diners have with this restaurant. Fast food is supposed to be quick, not painfully slow!
WhataBurger

Ever since Whataburger was sold to a company based out of Chicago, customers say they have seen a decline in quality. The once delicious food has turned "trashy" according to some customers. Many seem to notice a serious change in the food, and it isn't good.
