Hamburger helper

As kids, we freaked out a little when we saw Hamburger Helper. Back then, it wasn't our first choice of food. But as we grew up, eating it became increasingly enjoyable, and we just couldn’t stay away.
The creaminess of the sauce, the light but flavorful seasonings, and heaps of pasta made hamburger helper an iconic dish. Thankfully, it hasn’t completely disappeared off the maps, but we miss the old taste.
Pop rocks

Easily one of the most iconic snacks of all time, pop rocks were truly a sensation. These tiny pebble-like candies were like Nerds, only they would pop at the slightest presence of water, making them fizz like cold drinks.
While we loved eating them, they also became the cause for occasional groundings because we couldn’t resist pranking sleepers who had their mouths open. Oh, and let’s not forget the giddy feeling we had when we saw these.
Spaghetti O’s

It’s still a wonder how someone came up with the idea for Spaghetti O's because it was truly ahead of its time. A delightful cross between regular spaghetti and soup, this tomato-flavored dish always made us happy.
And now that we’ve grown up, it’s easy to see why parents liked it too. You don’t have to create a mess, and even the most amateur cooks can make it. Even the kids of today love eating this canned meal.
Capri Sun

We all thought we were so cool with our favorite flavor of Capri Sun. The simple drink was a highlight of our childhoods because we’d enjoy it on the bus, at picnics, and on school trips.
Perhaps we were a bit too obsessed, but this fruity delight managed to cool us right off. It also felt like we were drinking stuff made for the kings, and perhaps it was because, wow, we can never forget it.
Sloppy Joes

Have you even lived if you haven’t spilled grease from sloppy joes on your shirt and got a scolding from mom? The extremely messy food was a nightmare for parents, but it tasted so good we couldn’t resist eating it.
And they were really those foods that brought us closer. We’d eat them at barbecues, share them at picnics, and even enjoy them with friends. Everyone loves a good Sloppy Joes!
Bagel bites

Whoever came up with the idea of bagel bites was a freaking genius, and they deserve happiness. Seriously, the inventor must be thriving with all the good karma they must have collected.
Because the combination of pizza and bagels is an elite food that nothing can top, thankfully, we got to enjoy these snacks in their prime before they lost their touch and became a snack that not many people eat anymore.
Ring pops

Didn’t we all propose (or were proposed to) with a ring pop at one point? We all have at least one person who’s waiting for us at the wedding chapel. Yeah, wedding bells, folks.
Ring pops were literally an edible bling that started with kids and then were picked up by adults who found the idea amusing. Well, we all got hooked on it, so who’s laughing now?
Baked ziti

Although slightly similar, baked ziti was the lasagna of our time. We seriously couldn’t go to a party or a get-together and not find baked ziti there. The flavor, the texture, the pizzazz… it was all there.
Baked ziti is still a popular dish, but only those who knew the 90s can feel the nostalgia. It filled the kitchen with an irresistible aroma, and before we knew it, we were scooping out our third and fourth servings.
Zebra cakes

Perhaps this is one of the most cleverly named products because it was one of the most successful snacks of the 90s. Zebra cakes were just your regular sponge cake, only with stripes of vanilla and chocolate.
The best memories were opening up our lunchboxes and finding a pack of this. It was also the one snack that made it through our toughest times and most memorable moments.
Chicken pot pie

A little classy, this iconic dish was severely underrated, or perhaps we didn’t give it the recognition it deserved. As kids, we didn’t get the appeal, but as we grew up, it became impossible to resist a bite.
The flaky crust, buttery and creamy filling, and the perfect balance of spices made this dish one of the few that made it out of the 90s. Sure, it took a while, but the fact it survived the tests of time proves it’s stellar.
Quiche

Next up, we have a dish that was once at its prime and is severely underrated today. The savory pie was an appetizing but fulfilling snack that was perfect for kids and adults alike.
Plus, we could eat it whenever. Quiche for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? No problem. We even had it as a midday snack, and it worked wonders. Perhaps that’s why we get unexplained hunger pangs; our stomachs probably miss these.
Eggo Waffles

Eggo Waffles were one of the best foods in the 90's. It was the main breakfast for kids across the country. Not only were they delicious when smothered in syrup, but they also were so super easy to make. Take your Eggos out of the freezer, pop them in the microwave and you had a hot breakfast in just seconds.
Moms especially loved that kids could make Eggos on their own. One less meal she had to make!
Lunchables

You were a cool kid if you pulled out a Lunchable in the school cafeteria. Everyone wanted to have a Lunchable in their backpack but only the lucky kids got to eat those pre-cut cheese and cracker meals.
We hope that you were one of those kids in the 90's who got lunchables every day. If you were not, don't worry! You can still buy them today and re-live your childhood.
Dunkaroos

Dunkaroos were one of the best dessert snacks of the 1990s. Dipping mini sprinkle-covered graham crackers into frosting was just too good to be true.
If you opened your lunchbox at school and found a pack of Dunakroos, you knew it would be a good day. We wish these favorite cookies were still around but they are lost to the 90's forever.
Chicklets Gum

Every kid in the 90s had a packet of mini chicklets gum in their pockets. The gum was easy to share and tasted, well, it actually didn't taste that good. The hard candy outside and the chewy gum center was a little weird but we loved it!
We would gladly take a handful of Chicklets if we could go back to the 90's!
Gushers Fruit Snacks

All the cool kids in the 90's ate Gushers fruit snacks. So, of course, everyone else wanted Gusher's! And how could you resist that chewy snack that exploded in your mouth with a burst of juicy flavor?
The only downside to eating a pack of Gushers was that there was never enough in the bag! You always wanted more. We could probably eat a whole box of Gushers today and still want more.
Baked Beans with Hot Dogs

A can of baked beans mixed with a few cut-up hot dogs was a complete meal back in the 90's. Everyone loved it when mom would serve this warm, comforting meal, and we all know that mom loved to make it. It only took seconds to make! Why did this simple dish go out of style? We think moms everywhere should bring it back.
