Ketchup

Although ketchup is one of the most common condiments and pairs incredibly well with fries, many find the bright-colored food distasteful.
Ketchup tastes tangy and sweet, which can be off-putting for many. Its taste varies across brands, which can severely affect a person’s enjoyment. Some also dislike ketchup because of its core ingredient, tomatoes.
Hard-boiled eggs

There’s nothing wrong with eating hard-boiled eggs because they’re delicious, except they come with a teeny tiny flaw.
Many people find the smell of hard-boiled eggs repulsive. The smell is incredibly intense and overpowers a room, so it's understandable that not many will like sitting next to someone eating hard-boiled eggs.
Kombucha

During the Covid-19 lockdown, kombucha became increasingly popular. Many influencers gave glowing reviews about the drink, and the world hasn't looked back.
However, people who tried kombucha after it picked up the hype claim the drink isn’t as tasty as it sounds. Although kombucha can be paired with multiple fruits and herbs, the fermented tea isn’t up to par with most people’s liking.
Miracle whip

People who believed Miracle Whip was mayonnaise were seriously duped because they hated mayonnaise instead of this brand.
But Miracle Whip isn’t mayonnaise. It’s a similar condiment that has a less appealing taste and a weirder texture. Many misuse Miracle Whip and feel disappointed, and it’s not their fault. Miracle Whip just doesn’t taste good.
Coconut water

Whoever claims they like drinking coconut water is probably lying because it’s just simultaneously too sweet and too plain to be considered good.
Coconut water isn’t only confusing for our taste buds; it’s also incredibly expensive if we compare prices. The only reason coconut water is popular is because of influencers, who aren’t the most reliable sources, if we’re being honest.
Olives

Olives are a popular topping and ingredient used in pizzas, pasta, salads, and even as a side.
But many find this food repulsive. The plant tastes weird and has a weird texture, so it isn’t as appealing as others. Olives can also be a choking hazard, so parents find them unsafe for kids.
Black licorice

We all know someone who went out of their way to get black licorice, and we all severely judged them for it.
This is because black licorice is one of the most universally disliked foods. Its weird and intense flavor is unpleasant for many, but people also hate how it is simultaneously sour and sweet. It’s just a bad combination.
Avocado

Considering avocado is one of the most popular foods at the moment, hearing it is disliked comes as a surprise, especially for those who eat it daily.
But many people claim avocado is too boring and bland for its hype. The pasty and uninviting taste isn’t the only hindrance; avocados quickly ripen, so there’s a small window to actually eat it before it goes bad.
Energy Drinks

Energy drinks of all kinds are controversial. Some people completely rely on them, while others find them repulsive.
Perhaps it’s the plethora of unappetizing flavoring and additives that are squeezed into every energy drink that people don't like. Maybe it’s the artificial flavor that people hate. But lots of people can't get through the day without at least one energy drink. It is quite a controversial food!
Beets

Have you ever met anyone who willingly likes beets? There’s a reason such people are rare.
Beets don’t have a particular taste; they taste just like a radish, so they don’t bring much to the table. They’re also incredibly messy to deal with because they stain, so many find them disgusting for what they’re thought to be worth.
Chicken Nuggets

Nuggets are a staple in many homes, especially for those with kids. They are a quick and easy meal that many people in the US eat constantly. However, there are plenty of people who are repulsed by nuggets. The mushed-up meat is not all that appetizing when you start to think about it. Plenty of people would rather starve than eat nuggets.
Mushrooms

Many people love the rich, earthy taste of mushrooms. Others would never put a piece of fungus near their mouths. The spongy texture and dirt-like flavor of mushrooms can be hard to stomach, but that doesn't stop half the world from gobbling them up. Are you a mushroom lover or a total hater?
Tartar sauce

The world has moved on to condiments and sauces like ranch, Thousand Island, chipotle, and mayonnaise for a reason. Tartar just doesn’t offer much.
Tartar sauce has an intense tangy, sweet, and sour flavor, so it doesn’t go down well with most people. Although the sauce is quite creamy, its texture feels unusual when paired with classics like fish and chips.
Shellfish

Many people find slimy, slippery shellfish hard to eat. They just can't fathom swallowing a wet, gooey oyster or chewing on a tough, mushy mussel.
Of course, there are plenty of people who find shellfish to be one of the world's delicacies. The salty, briney taste is just irresistible! Do shellfish make you want to vomit, or do you want the biggest serving possible?
Brussels Sprouts

A lot of people go crazy for a big bowl of sauteed Brussels sprouts. Other people see those little brain-like vegetables and want to gag. We do admit that they look very, very weird and have quite a pungent smell. No one will ever agree if Brussels sprouts should be eaten or tossed directly in the trash.
