Baileys Apple Pie

This Fall edition Baileys Apple Pie recipe is the Ultimate homemade Apple Pie with an Irish cream twist, you will love it!

Alcohol is added to the Apple pie sauce before baking - this means that most of the alcohol will evaporate. However, if doubling the sauce, you can keep the other half for after baking!

Prepare the pie crust ingredients. Everything should be nicely chilled for the best result

Add very cold butter chunks into flour and rub it in between your fingers. Leave some bigger butter chunks in the mixture, then add ice cold water, and knead the dough for a minute or two.

Prepare the apple filling by cooking butter, sugar and apples, then thickening with cornstarch. Add Baileys at the end

After the dough rested for 2 hours and the filling is chilled, assemble your pie

And make the lattice top if you fancy!

Bake it at 200 C / 372 F for 30 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 175 / 347 F and bake for further 30 minutes until the filling is bubbling and the crust is golden brown
