How to store homemade FROSTED cupcakes

    Room temperature

    • In a storage container with an air-tight lid for 2-3 days. Frosting that contains dairy like cream, cream cheese, and mascarpone, must be stored refrigerated instead.

    Refrigerated

    • In a storage container with an air-tight lid for 3-5 days.

    Freezer

    • Freeze the frosted cupcakes first uncovered for 2-3 hours. This will set the structure of the cupcake. Then,  wrap each cupcake in plastic wrap and place them into resealable freezer bags or airtight containers in the freezer. Store them for a maximum of 3 months.

    How to store homemade UNFROSTED cupcakes

      Room temperature

      • In a storage container with an air-tight lid for 2-3 days.

      Refrigerated

      • In a storage container with an air-tight lid for 3-5 days.

      Freezer

      • Wrap each cupcake in plastic wrap then place the cupcakes into an airtight sealable freezer bag or container. Unfrosted cupcakes will last 3 months in the freezer.
