- 200 g Water
- 15 g Unsalted butter
- ½ teaspoon Pure Maple extract
- Pinch of salt
In a large saucepan, whisk together the brown sugar and water.
Gently boil the mixture for 5-8 minutes until the mixture thickens (achieves a syrupy consistency) and is able to coat the back of a spoon.
Then, remove the saucepan from the stove, and mix in butter salt, and maple extract. If maple extract is unavailable, use vanilla extract for added flavor.
