Cut the bananas horizontally and arrange them nicely at the bottom of the pan, lined with parchment paper. Pour caramel over the bananas.
Prepare the cake batter. In a big bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add vanilla and room-temperature eggs. Fold in yogurt-milk mixture and sifted dry ingredients alternating each other as follows: wet-dry-wet-dry.

Pour or pipe the cake batter into the cake pan (over the caramelized banana). Bake at 175C / 347 F (no fan) for about 1 hour.
Let the cake cool on a cooling rack (inside the pan). After that, flip the cake upside-down and carefully remove the pan. You can make the topping super shiny by brushing sugar syrup over the banana top.
